Continuous improvement requires that we understand the reasons and mechanisms of any failure of parts or components if we are to implement cost effective changes to prevent & reduce the occurrence of a similar failure in the future. In fact, we strongly believe that an understanding of the root cause of component failure is central to all our other activities.

We provide the expertise and analysis to identify the conditions leading to a failure and advise on the most appropriate action to prevent its recurrence.

A dedicated group of Metallurgists, Materials Scientists and Materials Engineers exists within the Asset Reliability Centre at CCI Pope. This group can provide the expertise and analysis to identify the conditions leading to a failure and advise on the most appropriate action to prevent its re-occurrence.

All members of the Materials Engineering Team have considerable industry experience with the application of metals and non-metals extensively used in plant equipment. Whether a component has fractured, cracked, exhibits excessive wear or has corroded, CCI Pope's experienced Metallurgists and Materials Engineers can determine the root cause, and offer recommendations on corrective action.

With a central location in Newcastle, the Asset Reliability Centre also has representatives at our facilities in Mackay and Wollongong.
